Locations: Austin, TX

Duration: Full-Time (W2)

Requirements:

• Solutions Architect, expert in middle-layer API and cloud migrations for web and mobile (no UI).

• Need some level of hands-on coding (coding is 20-30% of the job to support the team). .Net Core (80%) & Java (20%)

• Must have experience with Google Cloud Platform, AWS. PCF is a plus. The team is in a traditional hosting center, moving to public cloud.

• Must have experience with API's (UI) & Capability API's (backend).

• Must have experience with architecture & design on the server side.

• Digital transformation & cloud migration experience.

• Should have experience with scalability.

• Experience working with governance, creating architecture, creating design, putting together frameworks to make the code cloud native.

Scope:

• App modernization effort & cloud migration. The app is currently on the server side.

• The app needs to talk to backend services, which goes through a middleware layer that has been in place since 2010.

• The role is in support of the middleware layer for all mobile applications.

• The modernization effort involves moving to Microservices architecture for both web & mobile.

• Candidates will need to understand the business framework & architecture.

• Candidates will need to understand backend services.

• The Architect will take code and move it to monolithic code, containerize the code and make it ready for public cloud. This hasn't happened yet. However, there is high level architectural guidance.

• The Architect will take the mobile Architecture and start that process (set up sandboxes, come up with plans, etc).

• Once the app is containerized, the Architect will need to work with cloud teams, which is needed on the microservices side (not infrastructure).
